Lyon has recently swayed a part and is clearly visible in the Ligue 1 table, as well as losing several places and now four in the table – ie outside of the Champions League position. For a while, one was also two-legged and had a really nice shape where the offensive worked out a bit well. As I wrote, you have recently swayed but enter the evening’s match with two straight wins – and with two NOLLOR additionally.
It was a strong win in Russia at the first meeting where I thought Lyon would make it tougher and, in particular, let in a few balls, as the defensive did not always work well with the Frenchman. Then it is not easy to go to Russia and bring a good result and we have seen several teams in Europe having trouble. But Lyon was really well, despite the fact that CSKA had a good time there for a while and created a lot of goal chances. Good results and I can not imagine CSKA turning this on – Russians would definitely need a home gain where they are usually very strong.
Lyon has now shown strength in two straight matches. Certainly, one should have scored significantly more goals in the last league match against Caen when Lyon pushed incredibly much in his offensive – but did not receive dividends – but 1-0 win was enough and three points into the account. I think there can be plenty of space for Lyons – usually fine offensive – when CSKA will need to play offensive to make at least a few goals away from having any chance of advancement. This takes Lyon on and will punish the Russians a couple of times in the match. I strongly believe in a Lyon win here and third straight on the account.
